Set up and use the Advanza connector for Claude and ChatGPT

Available with every Advanza plan, including Free

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to your Advanza workspace through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, you can ask the assistant to work with your Advanza data in plain language. With the connector, you can:

  • Search, create and update contacts, companies and deals, and import them in bulk.
  • Log activities and manage reminders on your records.
  • Draft email campaigns, social posts, landing pages and forms, and schedule them once approved.
  • Check copy against your brand rules and keep your brand profile up to date.
  • Analyse email, social, landing page and pipeline performance.

The connector is run by Advanza at a remote address: there is nothing to install. The assistant works as you, in one workspace you choose, and anything that reaches people outside your workspace waits for a person to approve it.

Before you get started

Any member of an Advanza workspace can connect the connector. The assistant gets the same role and permissions you have in Advanza, never more, so it can only do what you could do yourself in the app.

  • Each connection covers one workspace. To use another workspace, connect again and choose that workspace.
  • To publish social posts, connect your social accounts in Advanza first. To send email, connect a Microsoft 365 or Gmail mailbox, or have Advanza’s own sender enabled for your workspace.
  • Scheduling social posts needs the owner or admin role, as it does in the app.
  • Imports, bulk updates and bulk scheduling run as background jobs in Advanza. Bulk scheduling covers up to 100 posts per request.
  • AI image and video generation is not available in Claude. In other clients it uses your workspace’s AI credits and asks for approval first.
  • For analytics, name the campaign, channel or date range you are interested in to get a precise answer.

Supported records and permissions

The table shows what the assistant can do with each kind of record. With approval means a person approves the action before it runs. Actions marked strong approval run only after a person’s own click, and the assistant can never approve them itself.

Set up the connector

The connector signs in with OAuth, so there is no API key to create or copy. You sign in to Advanza yourself and choose which workspace to share.

Claude

For claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, use this address:

https://mcp.advanza.ai/claude/mcp
  1. In Claude, click your profile icon, then select Settings.
  2. Select Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  3. Enter Advanza as the name and paste the address above, then select Add.
  4. Select Connect next to Advanza.
  5. Sign in to Advanza with your usual email and password.
  6. Choose the workspace Claude may use, review the access, and select Allow.
  7. In a new conversation, open the tools menu and make sure Advanza is turned on.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, click your profile icon, then select Settings.
  2. Select Apps, search for Advanza, and select it.
  3. Select Connect.
  4. Sign in to Advanza, choose the workspace, and allow access.

Other MCP clients

Clients that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in, such as Cursor or VS Code, connect to this address:

https://mcp.advanza.ai

Best practices

  • Mention Advanza in your prompt when you have several connectors turned on, so the assistant uses the right one.
  • Start with one record before you ask for a change across many, and check the result in Advanza.
  • Give context: the campaign name, the pipeline, the date range or the channel you mean.
  • Read the approval card before you approve. It shows exactly what will be sent or published, and to whom.
  • Keep your data tidy. Clear company names, deal stages and groups give better answers.

Use the connector

  1. Open a new conversation with the Advanza connector turned on.
  2. Ask in plain language. The assistant chooses the Advanza tools it needs.
  3. When an action needs approval, an approval card appears in the conversation. Review it and select Approve or Reject. In clients that don’t show cards, open the approval link instead.
  4. Open Advanza to see the records, drafts and scheduled items the assistant created.

Example prompts

  • “Find all contacts at Northwind Traders and move their open deal to Proposal sent.”
  • “Import the contacts in this list into a new group called Trade fair 2026.”
  • “Draft LinkedIn and Instagram posts for our autumn offer and schedule them for next week.”
  • “How did our email campaigns and social posts perform last month compared to the month before?”
  • “Check this headline against our brand rules.”

Approvals

How much approval an action needs depends on what it does.

LevelApplies to
Runs straight awayReading, and changes that stay inside your workspace and can be changed back: creating and updating records, imports, drafts, brand edits. Every call is logged.
ApprovalDeleting and merging records, and unpublishing a landing page.
Strong approvalAnything that reaches people outside your workspace: scheduling email and social posts, publishing landing pages, turning on or starting workflows, publishing a brand revision, and editing a scheduled post or published page. Also deleting or merging more than 100 records at once.

Workspace owners and admins can make approvals stricter in Advanza under Settings → Integrations:

  • Require approval for every change from connected agents makes every change wait for approval, including drafts and record updates.
  • Turning off Allow strong approval from connected agents means sends and publishing can only be approved inside Advanza, not on the card in the conversation.

Disconnect the connector

In Advanza

  1. Open Settings, then Integrations.
  2. Under Connected AI agents, find the connection.
  3. Select Revoke.

Owners and admins can revoke any assistant connected to their workspace. Revoking takes effect within a minute, including for access the client already holds.

In your AI client

Remove or disconnect Advanza under Settings → Connectors in Claude or Settings → Apps in ChatGPT.

Frequently asked questions

What data can the assistant access?

Only the workspace you chose when connecting, and only what your own role in Advanza allows. The table under Supported records and permissions lists every kind of record.

Does Advanza receive my conversation?

No. Advanza receives the requests the assistant makes, such as a search or the text of a draft, and returns the results. The results, which can include contacts, deals and campaign data, are processed by your AI provider under its own terms and your settings there.

Is my data used to train AI models?

Whether your conversations with Claude or ChatGPT are used for training depends on your settings and plan with Anthropic or OpenAI. See their privacy settings for your account.

Where is my data stored?

Advanza workspace data is stored in the UK.

Can the assistant do more than I can?

No. Every request is checked against your role and your workspace. Data from other workspaces is never reachable through the connection.

Can the assistant send email or publish posts on its own?

No. Sending, publishing and starting workflows always wait for a person’s own click on the approval card or in Advanza. The assistant cannot approve these actions.

Is there an audit log?

Yes. Advanza records each action: who ran it, through which connection, with what input and with what result. Under Settings → Integrations → Connected AI agents you can see each connection and when it was last used.

What controls do workspace admins have?

Owners and admins can see and revoke every connection to their workspace, require approval for every change, and keep sends and publishing approvable only inside Advanza.

Can I connect more than one workspace?

Yes, with one connection per workspace. Each is signed in and revoked separately.

What if the assistant gets something wrong?

AI assistants can make mistakes. Check drafts and changes in Advanza, and read the approval card before anything goes out. Changes inside your workspace can be edited or undone in Advanza.

The connector stopped working. What should I do?

The connection may have been revoked, or you may have left the workspace. Disconnect Advanza in your AI client and connect again. If adding the connector fails, check that Claude uses https://mcp.advanza.ai/claude/mcp and other clients use https://mcp.advanza.ai.

How do I get help?

Email support@advanza.ai or use our contact page. Include the AI client you use and, if you have it, the time of the request that failed.

Read more in our Privacy Policy (section 8) and Terms & Conditions (section 8).
